Maria got to go horse back riding for the very FIRST time the other day. 
Her Brownie troop spent some of the money they earned selling cookies and saddled up. Maria was so very excited to go, she could hardly stand it! She was given a pony (as were all the first time riders) and they were led on a 45 minute trail ride. I walked along and I couldn't believe how confident Maria was. She had just been given a horse, and she guided him all alone!!! It was pretty amazing. She loved her "Little Guy" (his name) so much, that she wanted to bring him home. I could see how this would help our mowing situation, but I can only handle so many animals pooping in our yard at one time. So at last, Maria accomplished one of her dreams, and I think it was everything she had hoped it would be and more. Can you guess who is begging to go again? The last picture is Maria with her good friend Hilary right after they got fitted with riding helmets. It was an awesome day!
