Morrie and I had to split up during "soccer weekend" (for future reference, that is every weekend). He took Maria to her indoor game, where the other team only had 2 girls show up. So our coach ended up creating two teams out of our team plus the two other girls and he then managed the subs for both teams! Maria scored a goal (she's getting good at that) and said "We won!". Hmm...well of course you did. She played on both teams...and both teams were mostly her Cougar teammates...
Way over in another faraway town, I had Isabelle for her first outdoor game with her new select team. May I remind you that it was hailing, sleeting and snowing for most of this 1.5 hour game. Now, I wasn't sure how well they would play together for their first game, and with the weather situation...it was anybody's guess. Isabelle didn't even come out of the game until sometime in the 2nd half, and that was only for a few minutes. Her team made wonderul passes, great shooting, awesome offense and won 11-0! Isabelle played her defense from midfield, that's how far they had to come up because the other team hardly made it past the midfield the entire time! Isabelle had some great defensive plays, took a nasty push (that was called on the other girl), and didn't freeze to death despite all that. We capped off the night at the school family auction, and I think Isabelle was really tired by that point! Here's to hoping for sunnier weather next week!!

Go Izzy! Go Izzy! Andrea, it's hailing outside my window right now. I think March was more my cuppa tea than this April stuff ... J
