Happy Easter!

Luckily the kids are old enough not to care if we dye egss- yay! However, this particular egg looked too good for me to pass up. I was glad to see James Riley get out there tonight and I thought Pat Noonan did really well. I am all for having as many chances on goal as possible, but let's get real. If we had that many opportunities AND had 15 some corner kicks, we SHOULD have gotten something in the net. I wasn't sure that bringing in Estrada for his first time when we were in a tight situation was the best move, but Sigi wasn't taking my calls.
Luckily for you I don't have to do a complete game breakdown here. I will wait until Morrie gets home and we will go over it play by play. What if I had married a basketball person? I can tell you one thing - they sure would get annoyed with me!!! Morrie is just lucky I guess.

Game One Review:

Maybe if Philadelphia relied on foot skills rather than WWE antics, they would have played better. Gouge out an eye, knee someone's kidney, launch yourself through the air at a player...
I can hear Seth and Amy now: really?? REALLY??

This was when I ran down and hugged Evans after his goal. It may have been as wet as a friggin' typhoon, but it was worth it!!

So freakin' Excited!!!

I am about to jump out of my pants with excitement! Wait. I just want you to know that I don't normally take my pants off when I am excited. It just sounded appropriate. Hold on...based on the past post and the fact that I am not known for being appropriate, maybe you should just strike these last few sentences from your mind.

I know that is what the backspace key is for, but let's review: I am not known for being making appropriate comments. Just ask Rachel, I send her inappropriate emails ALL the time. Same with Holly. I just can't help myself.

I also tend to get off track sometimes. I have my outfit all planned for the Sounders game opener on Thursday. Now would be a good time to mention that it is the game opener for the entire MLS. That's right, our game kicks off the entire MLS season on Thursday, and the rest of the teams will play on Saturday. We are that amazing. I totally use "we" in every sense of the word because I consider myself a critical part of the club. We are the only club in the MLS to be in the top 50 clubs internationally for highest average attendance.

Moment of silence.

Thank you. If anyone would like to keep Morrie company while he watches from home, that would be nice. Oh wait, he has to take Izzy to practice on Thursday night. Well, maybe I will bring him home a little something. Like maybe a wife who has full on face paint. We'll see. I am sure my date will keep me under control, she is ten after all. She has way more restraint than I do.

Doesn't Bolivia sound like it should be in Europe and not South America? I am not sure who to take this suggestion to.

6 days until THIS!

For the next 6 days, we will ponder the greatness that is the Seattle Sounders. My excitement and joy will spill out of your computer and ultimately infect you as well. We have seen these pictures before (from last years U.S. Open Cup), but I really felt it was time to bring them out again.
I will have you know that the GIRLS were in front of me getting autographs, I was not talking to the players, or asking them for anything. I swear. Really.
What would I ask them for anyway? Maybe to smile? Maybe.

To take their clothes off? Never. I would never do THAT.

They just can't help it when they walk by me.

First Day of School!

I can't believe Isabelle is a 7th grader, and Maria is a 4th grader! They both had an awesome day yesterday. Well, Maria's was awesome until she had to have a tooth pulled. However, it took the dentist somwhere around 6 minutes to do it after the novicane took effect, so it couldn't have been too bad.
We plan on having a nice, rainy Labor Day weekend, complete with a few BBQ's. Last weekend we went and saw the women Husky soccer team play - it was so fun - and this weekend Morrie will go to the football game. We're hoping for some great things for the Huskies this year! I hear they have even painted the endzones like they had them in the early 90's when we kicked pac 10 booty.
Our most exciting news about yesterday is of course that the Sounders won the US Open Cup Championship! Verrrry exciting game. The kids are happy because Mom is in a good mood after the Sounders win - kind of like Dad when the Huskies win!!

Hangin' with the Sounders

We noticed a new Ferrari in front of us as drove home from QFC. Niiiice.
Kind of cute, no?

Here we are hanging out with Jarrod Smith (from New Zealand) a former forward of the Sounders. He recently got taken off the roster due to a torn hamstring injury. He still practices with them, and goes to autograph sessions, so I hope they plan on using him when he heals up.

Some great guys!!

Sebastian Le Toux, moments after he made the winning goal in the 89th minute of the quarter final Open Cup game! He is one of our favorite guys, (very fast, super nice to his fans and a former USL Sounder).
Here is Izzy getting Nate Jaqua's autograph.

One of my NEWEST favorite players Patrick Iannni. He is an incredible sweeper and super tough! He was "Man of the Match" for todays game (not this picture, this was a few days ago).
I could go on and on forever about the Sounders, but I know 99.9 % of my readers don't care, so I will keep the rest to myself.

Adventures in Babysitting

We had the honor of babysitting Benjamin (Jammy) lastnight and had quite a ball. We went to Maria's soccer game (where she scored!). Jammy wouldn't let Morrie go, it was so cute (and a new experience for him!). We came home and decided to water some plants. Now, if this isn't a Calvin and Hobbes picture, I don't know what is!

Jammy proceeded to turn when I was taking a picture of Morrie and got Uncle Morrie all wet (hahahahahahah - oh, it was good!). I then snapped Maria and Morrie. Maria is holding Jammy's "Hobbes". We were all ready for the Sounders game on tv - hence the awesome Sounders gear.

Jammy and Morrie were chillin' as they watched the Sounders win - it was a great night!
