Back From Vegas!

Morrie and I survived our trip to Vegas, and you can view lots of pictures on my Facebook account (I can't begin to pick just a few for here!). This picture though was great! We were just headed into the Bellagio and I was looking at the Paris across the street. I couldn't wait to see what they had going on inside! What I love the most is how I smash my arm against my body and it looks like I have been pumping iron waaaay to often. Why can't I rememebr to hold my arm AWAY from my body???

Part 3: Pacific Science Center

Here is what my dad and myself were doing the whole day - recording every moment on film!

As soon as we walked into the Butterfly House, one landed on our friend Hannah! I had a camera in one hand, another child in the other hand and Hannah was not pleased and wanted me to use my third hand to get it off!!

Uncle Aaron adds his power to the kids pulling on a huge weight!

Everyone loves to touch the tide pools. There is so much to do there, and I know we didn't get to all of it. The kids were starving after 2 1/2 hours and we made our way to the Center House for lunch. Stayed tuned for tomorrow's post, after lunch was the best part!!

Spring Break, Part 2

Part 2: Pacific Science Center:
Aaron brought his 2 boys, I had my girls, my Dad came with a 9 year old friend of the family, and we had my sisters 2 kids as well. It was a bit crazy. Aaron jumped up right away on a chin up bar where it timed how long you could hold it. It showed he is a healthy 15 year old girl. Hmmm...so Maria got on with her gymnastic prowress and she is a healthy 20-29 year old woman. Someone needs to work on those biceps!

Isabelle tries a balancing game! This part of the exhibit was full of health/mental tests. The kids rode bikes to see how many light bulbs they could light up, smelled different scents while trying to guess what they were, got their blood pressure tested, tested their flexibility, etc.

Then we headed off to the dinosaurs! Isabelle was just placating me by standing here with these 2 guys. At this point, the little kids were still running around too fast for me to catch on film. Wait until tomorrow's post when the other kids had slowed down a bit.

Baby T-Rex

This is part one of maaaany. The first thing we did at the Pacific Science Center (last week) was to sit down for a viewing of a 6 month old baby T-Rex. I was a little confused as to what this would amount to. KOMO 4 news was there and all the people who were in the vicinity had heard the announcement over PA system and came in to see what it was all about. Finally, out came a fantastic Broadway like version of a dinosaur. All our kids were sitting up front (7 cousins) while I watched from fartehr back with my Dad and brother. Some of the audeince were scared, some laughed a lot. Since the camerman at KOMO didn't want any crying children to interview, he picked a group that seemed to be the most entertained, and the cutest group for tv.

I admit deafeat!

I have been a terrible blogger lately. I bet the web is full of lame excuses of bloggers on why time has slipped through their hands and they have not produced entertaining, witty, profound or deeply emotional posts. I got nothing. I was busy?

Plenty of cool pics of 3 adults and 7 cousins at the Pacific Science Center. What a fun day! Except the part where I ate at Subway and then felt ill for the next 3 days while my brother was in town...

Kids are so smart: The other day while watching Oprah, Maria sat down at the table with me and had a snack. Oprah was saying - as she always does- that every Mom out there needs a wife. It's just so much work, so little time, and if the mom works, all the more reason to have a wife to help out. She of course was not endorsing the Mormon way of life or anything. But Maria had another point. After lisening in, she said "They should just be gay!". So true Maria. Why didn't I think of that one? I could have someone, right now, throwing in a load of laundry without me asking, putting away the clothes in my bedroom without them complaining of not knowing where my bras go, and if we wore the same shoe size, double the choices!! Maybe they have something going there...good thinking Oprah!

A Puppy is born!

There is really honestly a dog in there! I had come home and opened the crate to let her out, but she wan't done taking her nap. I left the door open and sat down at the computer to check email. Pretty soon, she was ready to get up and out she came!

We would like to welcome Maisy back home from her 3 day adventure out in the big outdoors. She is Annie's dog cousin and took Easter weekend as a vacation away from her family. Everybody was super worried, and Maisy was ready to get back to dog duties Monday afternoon when she was found a few backyards away. Please don't do that again Maisy!!

A+ Weekend!

I would like to say how much I enjoyed the SUN this weekend, and how much I didn't appreciate the snow last week!

Isabelle had her LAST game with her  team on Saturday- WAAAAHHHHHH. It has been a tremendous year for her and it was the perfect place for her this year. Here are a few pictures, Isabelle had a great header (2nd pic). They will have a blowout party in a few weeks at one of the girls' homes and then head to a Sounders game, to watch from a private box!!

Maria had an indoor game where she was on fire. She also took a face ball - but everything is okay. She had soccer class tonight and loved having it so warm- no sweatshirts!! I think even though it was only 62 today, it really felt like 80! A far cry from the 26 we woke up to yesterday. We did a ton of yardwork today as well, which always makes me happy, and the Sounders won, which makes us all happy! If only someone will come and wash my car for me, that would be awesome.

Lazy Week

Well, I started off the week sick, again. I don't even get it, twice in one month. It stinks. A lot.

Morrie took this great pictuir of Maria. It pretty much sums up my week, laying low, trying to stay warm. Notice she is sitting in front of the heater, and the dog is trying to get in on the action.

Speaking of the dog, she is really really annoying. I can't help it that it has been raining, sleeting and downpouring this week, hampering her walks. She has cabin fever. I can only walk so far when I am sick...like to the driveway and back. We'll get it together, I promise!

Tomorrow is a big day. Isabelle has her last game with her team. They have been playing for 12 months together and she has grown as a player such an incredible amount. We have had a great group of parents on the team, and it has been so much fun. She was in the right place at the right time. The coach was perfect for her, he is very calm and very straightforward. He always tells the girls he doesn't care what the score is, he wants to see them work on A, B and C for that particular game.

I have to go, the dog is trying to lick a dead bee out of the windowsill. This is ridiculous.
